Authority
Laurence is a clear voice in the conversation about men and masculinity. His authority wasn’t polished for headlines. It was forged under pressure, in places most coaches never go.
For over two decades he has worked the full range of men’s development: one-to-one with high performers, long residential programs, crisis work with the hardest-to-reach, and training other facilitators. He serves as Development & Outreach Director for the ManKind Project UK & Ireland and co-founded Masculinity X, a grassroots movement that makes men’s work real and relevant.
What defines his authority:
Lived credibility. - Working-class roots and survival experience build trust where theory cannot.
Proven methods. - Every tool has been tested with men and groups most others will not or cannot reach.
Trainer of trainers. - He equips practitioners to deliver rigorous work at scale without loss of integrity.
Cultural clarity. - On podcasts, panels, and in the press, he offers honesty over trend and insight over soundbite.
Authority is simple: results under pressure. Men who do the work show up steady in crisis, clear in purpose, and useful when it counts.
Don’t invite him for a conversation. Invite him when you want the room to change.
“Don’t ask me what I believe. Ask me what I’ve seen, and what works when it matters.”
